Free Virtual Seminar Planned for Oct. 28 on 'Demystifying Medicare'

Oct. 18, 2021

Tim Jones

If you or a loved one are currently or about to be 65 years of age, enrolling in Medicare is an essential step in ensuring that you take advantage of the national health insurance coverage. Discover how to navigate the “Medicare Maze” in a simple, straightforward way when you attend a free virtual seminar sponsored by Heart of Texas Healthcare System on Oct. 28.

“Working with the community daily, we see how challenging it can be for individuals of all backgrounds to get a grasp of Medicare and its various plans and offerings,” explains Tim Jones, CEO of Heart of Texas Healthcare System. “That is why we are excited to partner with Chris Renfro, TITLE, NextGen Insurance Services, on this important virtual event to help those in our community eligible for Medicare take advantage of the program.”

During this free virtual seminar, attendees will learn all about the Medicare program, its various plans, qualifications for coverage, and how to select the right plan for you or a loved one.

This year’s Medicare open enrollment period begins on Oct. 15 and ends on Dec. 7. This enrollment period is for 2022 coverage needs, including new sign-ups, plan switches, or dropping coverage. All changes made during the enrollment period will begin on Jan. 1, 2022.

Renfro has been a licensed life and health agent for more than 15 years. Since 2009, he has owned and operated NextGen Insurance Services. As part of his business, Renfro continually recruits, trains, educates, and motivates independent agents to service populations of those over and under age 65 in the areas of Medicare Supplement, Medicare Part D plans, Medicare Advantage, Long-Term Care, Annuities, and Final Expense products.

In addition to his business, Renfro also frequently does public speaking events and educational and information seminars for retirees for various corporations and financial planning agencies. These groups include Exxon/Mobil, Allen and McKinney Retired Teachers groups, Lakepoint Financial Advisors, Texas Area on Aging, and Careington International Corporation.

“My goal for this seminar, as with any of my presentations on the topic, is to help Medicare-eligible individuals understand the benefits afforded to them and how to select the right coverages for their needs,” Renfro explains. “It’s a challenging topic, but with the right information and guidance, signing up for Medicare does not have to be daunting.”

.Do not miss the free Demystifying Medicare Virtual Seminar on Oct. 28, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The event is free to attend, but interested individuals must register in advance at www.heartoftexashealthcare.org.
