SHIFT: Friday 8am - Sunday 8am
The tech must have experience with CT, but a CT registry is not necessary. Must be ARRT registered, The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and have their license through the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT). Basic Life Support, (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
-Ability to perform Imaging and CT procedures, according to exam protocol, in a timely manner. Able to maintain quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and protocols. Able to maintain a helpful and calm demeaner, even in times of stress. Ability to appropriately care for newborn/pediatric to geriatric age groups as specific to our department.
-Able to demonstrate an understanding of radiation dose reference levels and the actions taken if the estimated dose levels of radiation exceeds the reference levels set by departmental standards.
-Demonstrate an understanding of critical vs. normal lab values pertinent to CT Scan studies.
-Ability to utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure proper patient, correct exam and establish a good rapport with patient. Able to interact with patient, family members and others in a friendly and succinctly manner to assure the best outcome for the patient. Protect patient information by following HIPAA.
PURPOSE: Heart of Texas Healthcare System will use the services of hospitalists to care for inpatient and Swingbed patients. Local medical staff physicians retain the right to use hospitalist services or follow their patients at their own discretion.
SHIFT: Friday afternoon to Monday morning
SCOPE: Heart of Texas Healthcare System is designated as a critical access hospital and licensed for twenty five beds. Critical access hospital standards are unique. The scope of the Hospitalist Services policy is intended to give guidance when determining if a patient’s condition can be adequately managed at Heart of Texas Healthcare System or if transfer to another facility for a higher level of care is more appropriate. It also sets procedures to be followed when admitting a patient to hospitalist services.
POLICY:
As a critical access hospital, on average, acute inpatient care should not exceed 96 hours per patient. Patients are admitted to Heart of Texas Healthcare System for a variety of illnesses requiring antibiotics and/or re-hydration. Patients with the following diagnoses may be admitted as an acute or observation patient, or transferred at the physician’s discretion depending on the severity of the condition: · Partial Bowel Obstruction · Diabetic Ketoacidosis · Pediatric Patients · Cholelithiasis · Seizures · G.I. Bleeds · Stable Angina This policy is to serve as a guide. The conditions listed above are not intended to be all inclusive.
Hospitalist Admissions: Patients may be admitted to Hospitalist Service from the emergency department or clinical setting. The medical staff physicians retain the right to follow their own patients at their discretion. Patients may be admitted to the inpatient service, placed in observation, or admitted to the Swingbed program. Patients should be placed into observation when performing diagnostics for diagnosis.
PRN Position-Transfer service based from the hospital and operated by The Heart of Texas Healthcare System has openings for PRN Paramedic. Personnel will work as transferring EMS hospital staff members with possible additional duties in the ER or in other hospital departments as needed. 48 hours shifts. Paramedics must be certified or licensed and in good standing with Texas Department of State Health Services. During the application phase applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
The Heart of Texas Healthcare System has a full time position open for a registered nurse with previous outpatient infusion experience preferred to work in a clinic infusion setting. Work hours will vary but be based on M-F 8-5.

Personnel will work as transferring EMS hospital staff members with possible additional duties in the ER or in other hospital departments as needed. 48 hours shifts. Position Summary: • This position serves as an assistant to the CNO, as well as the trauma coordinator for our level 4 trauma facility. The Trauma Coordinator works both independently and in collaboration with the Trauma Program Medical Director and other members of the health care team and the management staff. The Trauma Coordinator is self-directed and self0motivating, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress of work to the CNO.
Qualifications: • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent preferred. • Personal Job-Related Skills: Advanced knowledge of nursing theories and practices. Position Summary: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensed in Texas who provides anesthesia care for surgical, obstetrical, and diagnostic procedures. Working independently or in collaboration with physicians, the CRNA ensures safe, effective, and patient-centered anesthesia services in compliance with the Texas Board of Nursing, Texas Medical Board, and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities: · Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans. · Administer general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC). · Monitor and manage patient airway, vital signs, and overall status during anesthesia. · Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management and complication management. · Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures and recovery. · Document all aspects of anesthesia care in accordance with Texas BON/TMB and facility requirements. · Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other providers to ensure coordinated care. · Respond to emergency situations requiring advanced airway or resuscitation skills.
Qualifications: · Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program. · Current RN license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) recognition in Texas. · Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). · Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. · 5 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered depending on facility needs.
Will work under the general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. Technicians and trainees work under the direct supervision of the credentialed sleep technologist or the medical director.
Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.
Position Summary:
Performs the primary functions of a professional nurse leader in assisting, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care on a medical-surgical unit and emergency department. Manages all supplies, equipment, and supervises all personnel on the unit and promotes team efforts with physicians and personnel of other departments.

We have a full-time dayshift position for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
Duties include microscopic, bacteriological, hematological, immunologic and chemical diagnostic tests and analyses on blood, urine, and stool. Other duties include analyzer maintenance, phlebotomy, and record keeping. Shift starts at 8 A.M.-5 P.M. Monday through Thursday, Friday shift is 8 A.M.-4 P.M., plus one night of on-call duties.
Requirements: Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Licensure, Registry or Certification: Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP or equivalent. One year in a medical laboratory preferred.

Full Time Position- The Heart of Texas Healthcare System has a full time positions open for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist; 48 hour shifts. Must have Texas license. Ideal candidate will have some inpatient hospital experience. Candidate will be responsible for hospital inpatients and swing bed patients .
The Heart of Texas Healthcare System is looking for a full-time Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant. The individual will administer and directs the administering of physical agents utilized in physical medicine and rehabilitation as prescribed by a physician.

Performs admission duties for admitting out-patients to hospital services. Processes and files admission records and acts as liaison with patient family members or responsible party. Performs support Business Office duties.
