Outpatient Occupational Therapy (OT) typically treats people who are living at home and able to attend clinic visits, focusing on helping them perform everyday activities (occupations) more independently, safely, and comfortably. OT helps clients return to or improve participation in meaningful daily activities—work, self-care, leisure, and community roles—after injury, illness, or functional decline.
Evaluation includes occupational profile (daily routines, roles, goals), assessment of strength, ROM, coordination, fine motor skills and hand function, sensation and pain, cognition and executive function, vision and perception, ADLs and IADLs, standardized assessments.

Licensed Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) deliver treatment in outpatient setting.
