Brady Medical Clinic Offers Extended Office Hours

Aug 10, 2021

Tim Jones

Accidents happen, and illnesses come about when you least expect them. While these medical conditions may seem insignificant, seeing a medical provider sooner rather can improve how you feel the next day.

Brady Medical Clinic now offers extended office hours for patients with acute medical conditions. New extended hours are now Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday hours remain the same at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“We all know that life happens. Your child comes home from school with a sore throat, or you may have sprained an ankle during your afternoon run,” says Tina Bucy, clinic manager, at Brady Medical Clinic. “Whatever causes your need to see a medical provider, know that we are now available with later evening hours to help you find relief.”

A service of the Heart of Texas Healthcare System, Brady Medical Clinic is powered by three physicians, a nurse practitioner, and other medical staff. Collectively, the team can serve patients in general family practice, preventative care, laboratory work, minor emergencies, and outpatient services.

Preventative healthcare consists of measures to keep a person healthy or prevent the onset of disease or other medical conditions. At Brady Medical Clinic, preventative care services commonly include immunizations, wellness exams, and cancer screening.

Local family practice physicians in Brady treat acute and chronic illnesses and provide preventative care and education to patients. Typical services include treatment for allergies, asthma, diabetes, gynecological exams, hypertension, and infectious diseases.

Brady Medical Clinic also provides acute care for minor emergencies, such as bone fractures, lacerations, sprains, and mole/cyst removal.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), just over 52 percent of physician office visits were made to primary care physicians, with medication noted as the most frequent reason for the visit.

As COVID-19 continues to cause concern for members of our community, including the now prominent Delta variant, if you or a loved one is experiencing any of the related symptoms, you are encouraged to call ahead for guidance before showing up to the clinic.

The Delta variant of COVID-19 is nearly twice as contagious as previous variants. The CDC says the most common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, and nausea.
